Faust Checho (pronounced "Cheecho") was born in Allentown and raised in Bangor, Pennsylvania. He started doing plays in high-school and realized his passion for acting at Hartwick College where he graduated with a B.A in Theatre Arts. After college Faust moved to NYC and spent a year training under the tutelage of George Morrison and Mike Nichols at the New Actors Workshop. He spent the next few years working different jobs and acting in various theaters before deciding to further his training. He auditioned and was accepted into the New School for Drama (New School University) where he earned an M.F.A. in Acting in 2008. In 2009, Checho and Harrison Smith, a screenwriter from his hometown, founded Mr. Big, Productions to develop and produce Smith's psychological thriller, "The Fields." Faust starred in the film with Academy Award Winner Cloris Leachman, and Tara Reid, and oversaw all aspects of the production. "The Fields" garnered multiple accolades and enjoyed critical acclaim on the festival circuit before being picked up for distribution by Breaking Glass Pictures. It has become their all-time best selling DVD/blu-ray. Faust continues to work as a producer but considers himself an actor first. He is constantly striving to hone his craft by working with renowned acting coaches Larry Moss, Patsy Rodenburg, and Jean-Louis Rodrigue.
